1)- MOSQUITOES
What makes these little creatures so deadly is their capacity to infect various viruses that can cause serious diseases. Although it is unbelievable, these creatures cause an average of 1.000.000 deaths a year.
2)- FRESHWATER SNAILS
“How could a snail kill a person?” You may think. However, this snail kills 10,000 to 20,000 people annually! These snails, which can infect humans with schistosomiasis thanks to the parasites they carry, are shelled terminators.
3)- KISSING/ASSASSIN BUGS
Again, we are faced with a small insect that carries deadly diseases. The assassin bug is responsible for carrying and transmitting Chagas disease that kills an average of 12,000 people each year.
4)- TSETSE FLIES
African sleeping sickness caused by a parasite transmitted by tsetse flies. Treatment is available, but access to healthcare is often inadequate as the disease mostly affects rural areas. These flies cause the death of 10,000 people a year.
5)- SCORPIONS
Isn’t it common sense for us to be afraid of scorpions? In fact, only a few types of these armored minors pose a deadly threat to humans. Although 1.2 million people are stung by scorpions annually, the death toll is 3.250.
6)- BEES
Yes, bees. This cute creature, which is not aggressive and is not venomous in high amounts, can kill 100 people a year. But how? Of course, thanks to people who are highly allergic to them.
7)- HORNETS
This not so cute creatures on the other hand, can cause 30 to 50 deaths annually. They’re highly aggressive beware!
8)- ANTS
They may be small and weak on their own, but ants fight as an army and they can be quite dangerous. Fire ants kills 30 people a year.
9)- TICKS
Between 2002 and 2007, an average of 6 people per year died from LYME disease caused by ticks. It is still worth paying attention to these pests, which do not carry fatal diseases in every specie of them!
10)- SPIDERS
Annual death rate from the spider bite is only 7. These highly poisonous pals do not harm people, except for their aggressive types such as black widows. If you see a spider in your house, try not to kill it, because they are there to eat pests that can really harm you!
