Do you think you can ever get out of here?
-me?
-Yes.
– one day when I have long white beards and 2 or 3 marbles jump up.
I’ll tell you where I’m going.zihuatanejo.
-what did you say?
-zihuatanejo. in mexico a small place in the pacific ocean. You know what the Mexicans say about the pacific? They say they have no memory. so i want to live the rest of my life here. a warm place with no memory. a small hotel right on the beach. take an old worthless boat and repair it as if it was new. to take my guests fishing. muzuatanejo. In a place like this, a man who knows how to get something would be benefical for me.
-I don’t think I’ll achieve anything out there. I have spent most of my life here. I am an institutionalized man. just like brooks.
-you despise yourself.
-I do not think so. I’m a man who can bring anything here; But outside, all you need is yellow pages. I do not know where to start. pacific ocean? curse. something so big kills me out of fear.
-not me. I did not shoot my wife and I did not shoot her boyfriend. Whatever crime I have committed, I have overpaid. a hotel, a boat… I don’t think I want much.
-you shouldn’t do this alone. it’s just a goddamn dream. mexico is far from here and you are here. and that’s all that happened.
-Yes you are right. that’s all. It’s far away and I’m here. I guess I should make a simple choice. live fast… or die fast?

andy: hope.
red: hope ??.
red: let me tell you something, man.
red: hope is a dangerous thing.
red: hope can drive a person crazy.
red: no use when inside.
red: you better give up this idea.
andy: like brooks did?
*
red: how did you get here?
andy: I am innocent.
red: nobody is guilty here anyway.
*
andy: don’t forget red. hope is a good thing. maybe the best. and good things never die.
