10 PANDEMICS THAT HAVE AFFECTED THE WORLD SO FAR

1)- THE PLAGUE

  Yersinia pestis bacteria causes the Plague, which is known as Black Death because it creates black spots on the skin and caused a great destruction in Europe at the time. It is estimated that it killed 250 million people so far.

2)- SPANISH FLU

  The first observations of illness were documented in 1918 in Kansas, USA. The virus, estimated to have killed about 100 million people, causes Hypercytokinemia by destroying the immune system.

3)- MARBURG

  Marburg virus is a hemorrhagic fever virus. Likewise Ebola, Marburg virus causes convulsions and bleeding in the mucous membranes, skin, and organs. The death rate is 90 percent.

4)- EBOLA

  There are five subtypes of the Ebola virus. It is a life-threatening viral infection that can cause high fever, progress with internal and external bleeding with a mortality rate of 90%. The virus is transmitted through bodily fluids.

5)- SWINE FLU

  Swine flu caused by the H1N1 influenza virus emerged in Mexico in 2009. The disease manifests itself in the form of fever, chills, body pain, cough, sore throat, runny nose, and red eyes.

6)- HIV

  HIV, which is a sexually transmitted disease and weakens the immune system over the years, manifests itself with AIDS in its last stage. 36 million people live with the HIV virus worldwide, and more than 35 million people died from HIV.

7)- TYPHUS

  The disease is transmitted by infected human lice that feed on the blood of acute typhus patients. After 5-6 days, a macular skin rash first develops on the upper body, accompanied by headache, chills, high fever, cough, and severe muscle pain.

8)- SMALLPOX

  Smallpox is a severe and contagious disease with crusted fever, seen in all ages and genders, appearing as large, fluid-filled pustules all over the body. It was the most common cause of death in history and killed 30% of those who infected.

9)- CHOLERA

  Cholera is an acute diarrhea infection that occurs when food or water contaminated with Vibrio cholerae bacteria enters the body. It takes between 12 hours and 5 days for a person to show symptoms after drinking contaminated food or water.

10)- COVID-19

  Coronavirus, which affected the whole world in a short time, first appeared in China in late 2019. The virus, which has a high mortality rate, causes viral respiratory tract disease characterized by high fever and shortness of breath.

  1. The very next time I read a blog, I hope that it does not disappoint me just as much as this one. After all, I know it was my choice to read through, but I genuinely thought you would have something interesting to say. All I hear is a bunch of moaning about something you could fix if you were not too busy searching for attention.
