The following symptoms are usually seen in children with adjustment and behavior disorders:
– Moodiness, angriness, and being uncomfortable for everything.
– Behaviors such as biting nails and sucking fingers.
– They tend to be physically violent and bullied.
– They go against authority.
– They are constantly stressed.
– They’re lying.
– They show theft behavior
– They have little or no motivation.
– They run away from school and home.
– They cannot concentrate their energy in a certain area, they cannot focus on a subject.
– They are shy, suspicious, cowardly, anxious.
– In some situations, they can seem quite calm.
In order to be able to say that the child has adjustment and behavioral disorders, a few of these features should be monitored in the child for at least 6 months. At the same time, the developmental period of the child should be taken into consideration. For example, children up to the age of 4-5, even at school age, occasionally wet himself/herself at night is considered normal and is not considered a behavioral disorder.
Behavior of wetting himself/herself at night cannot be considered as a disorder on its own. The frequency and intensity of the behavior and other accompanying symptoms of incompatibilies should also be considered.
Most of the mental incompatibilities arise from childhood. Therefore, it should be considered together with the child’s family and environment. The child who tries to overcome the problems he / she encounters alone without getting help or support, gets tired more quickly than his peers and exhibits a desperate and anxious behavior. He matures later spiritually than his peers.
