1- I love you no matter what happens.
Provide that they know your unconditional love. Emphasize that they don’t need always be good, successful or clever for your love. Love their success or failures.
2- I respect you.
Children deserve respect too. When you respect your children, you also teach them to respect other people’s values and limits.
3- I support your decisions
Support their decisions unless these are not harmful to them. There are a lot of adult people who live with remorse and displeasure throughout their life because their imagines and aims are not supported by their parents.
4- I listen you
Before judging and critizing, just listen. Listen without referring yourself. Only listen with the intention of listening. You don’t need to understand, connect a link between another topics or like what they’re saying. Just listen.
5- You give a magic touch to my day
Let your child know how much joy he/she adds to your life. Show them that they are a blessing.
6- I am lucky because you are my child.
Tell of unique qualities that you admire to them. Promote them to share their talents and skills with you.
7- Tell more, please.
Ask harmless questions. Make him/her feel you enjoy talking with him/her. Use body language and intonation to show your attention. Care for their words but not interrupt him/her when he/she is talking.
8- I want to understand.
If you did not understand situation of your child, tell him. Ask him to share it with you but don’t force him. Make it come to you voluntarily.
9- Thank you
Be grateful for little things even though it is their responsibility. When they do something without having your idea, thank for him/her.
10- Let me help you
If your child need to help, stand by him/her. Be there with your love and soul.
