1)- LACK OF WATER
The biggest factor that can be a struggle for you in the wild is not being dehydrated. That’s why, the first thing you should do, to find a water source. Walk parallel to the mountains to find water in a mountainous area, it will eventually take you to a puddle.
2)- WATER TREATMENT
Remember that drinking dirty water will do you as much harm as staying dehydrated. The stone and sand that you place in layers in the nylon bag to filter the water you get will clean the water.
3)- FOOD FINDING
Although you can survive for a long time without eating, you will need to be fed in order not to lose energy. Remember, although there is a lot in nature that you can consume as food, some plants and animals can be poisonous.
4)- BUILDING A FIRE
Fire is just as important as water and food. It will keep you warm and keep the wild animals away. You will also need to boil your water to kill bacteria inside. If you do not have a burning tool like a lighter with you, you should learn how to create sparks with dry branches.
5)- BUILDING A SHELTER
In the wild, it is important to be able to protect yourself from cold or heat. A thick-bottomed mattress that you will prepare from dry grass and fresh leaves will be sufficient. The shelter, which you cover with long twigs and large bushes, will also protect you from rain and storm.
6)- FINDING DIRECTION DAYTIME
Fix a thin rod perpendicular to the ground. Put a stone where the shadow of the rod ends. Leave a mark. Mark the new shade that changes location after 15 minutes in the same way. Connect the points marked with these two stones in a straight line. This line shows east and west.
7)- FINDING DIRECTION AT NIGHT
If you do not have a compass, you can follow the Polestar and proceed on the route you set. The dipper consists of 7 stars. It looks like a slanting coffee pot. When we multiply the length of the side opposite the handle of the coffee pot by 5 in a straight line, we find the Polestar.
8)- STAY HEALTHY
Keep your skin covered with clothes. The wild nature is suitable for humid conditions where bacteria can grow rapidly. Even a small cut or an insect bite on your body can quickly turn into an infection.
9)- HUNTING
Find a hard tree branch. Sharpen the tip with the help of a stone. Then, hold it on the fire to make it stronger. This primitive tool will help you hunt small animals such as squirrels, frogs, rabbits.
10)- KEEPING WILD ANIMALS AWAY
Food odor is the biggest factor that can bring wild animals close to your shelter. You should store your food away from your shelter. Likewise, the smell of feces-urine will attract the wild animals.
