10 UNKNOWN THINGS ABOUT CHE GUEVARA

1)- Che’s great-great-grandfather, Patrick Lynch, immigrated from Ireland to Argentina in the 1700s. So, Che’s origins are Irish.

2)- Che, whose real name is Ernesto Guevara, is not Cuban as he is thought to be, but Argentinian.

3)- Che was homeschooled because of his asthma, and that’s when he first met poetry, which he would love for the rest of his life. At his death, he was carrying a worn green poetry book, which he had copied by hand, containing works by Pablo Neruda, Cesar Vallejo and Nicolás Guillén.

4)- Che loved playing rugby, but he suffered from advanced asthma. Although his father said he should quit sports, Che replied, “I love rugby. Even if it kills me one day, I’m happy to play. “

5)- He graduated as a doctor in 1953. Later, he did an internship at the Mexico City General Hospital, where he researched allergies, but in 1955 he left to attend the Cuban Revolution of Fidel and Raul Castro as a doctor.

6)- After his graduation, he went on a trip with his friend Granado covering the whole of South America. He went to Peru, Colombia, and Venezuela. The notes he took on these journeys were the source of the 2004 movie “Motorcycle Diaries”.

7)– In Guatemala City, he met Niko Lopez, one of Fidel Castro’s lieutenants. Lopez was a prominent figure in the Cuban Revolution. Lopez nicknamed Che as Guevara. Che is an abbreviation for “chebol” which means “Bolshevik”.

8)- Che is famous for his central role in the Cuban revolution, but he also fought on the Bolivian and Congo fronts that were directly involved in the armed revolution in the mid-1960s.

9)- Following Castro’s revolution, Che was elected President of the National Bank in 1959. Because he often condemned the money and supported its repeal, he signed the Cuban cash with his pseudonym “Che” and printed a picture of a peasant collecting sugarcane on the banknotes.

10)- Che was captured by CIA-backed Bolivian troops in 1967 and executed on the orders of the president of Bolivia. His last words, as the executioner panicked, “I know you came here to kill me. Shoot me you coward, you will only kill a man. ” It is said to be.
