Even if one is successful in strength and power, one fails in peace. There is nothing on earth that can fail a person as much as a mundane success because no matter what is achieved, one cannot find peace.
Even if a person succeeds in all worldly matters, one would fail in peace because true peace lies beyond the limits of mundane success. In order to attain peace, one must pursue the path of spiritual evolution.
While a failed person continues to strive in hopes of success, the successful person feels their inner emptiness increasing. Here, only peace can fill this inner emptiness. As a result, the person who cannot attain peace continues to suffer from this inner emptiness.
Those who reach wealth feel poverty within; those who reach power feel weakness within; and those who cling to life feel death within. Hence, peace and tranquility will be extremely meaningful for those with things like wealth or power.
Upon only achieving mundane success, the individual realizes that their course is completely wrong, and this awareness leads one to peace. In fact, mundane success becomes failure and this failure becomes a point of transformation – the point of transformation of war to peace. Well, why does mundane success mean failure? It is because the individual is not seeking temporary wealth, power, and so forth; one seeks eternal peace and tranquility. Here, eternal peace bestows an eternal existence that no death can end.
